This month marks 25 YEARS since I joined The Coca-Cola Company
After my time at Loewe, in 2001 I had the privilege of leading the P&L for a diverse portfolio, starting with Fanta, moving to the launch of Nordic Mist, and finally managing Coca-Cola. Looking back, the biggest lessons weren’t only about business: they were about human connections.
Connections with customers (like the young me in the picture with Coca-Cola fans at a sponsored FIFA World Cup) helped me build people-first innovation and meaningful experiences that also accelerate business growth.
And true partnership with great professionals, both in the Iberian Division and Atlanta’s Global Innovation team. A big thank you to the great leaders who believed in me then, especially Cristina Bondolowski (top marketer who became a family friend, even later in Silicon Valley) and Manuel “Manolo” Arroyo (one of the top Global CMOs in the world). And to the hundreds of colleagues and friends, many of whom are now driving success at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and many, many other companies worldwide.
Although I didn’t stay to receive the “Coca-Cola Gold with Diamonds 25-Year Pin”, I am grateful for the experiences that prepared me for the challenges that followed at BBVA… and for friendships that outlasted the business. 🚀
