Artificial Intelligence is transforming every job, every career. A recent World Economic Forum survey revealed that 94% of C-suite leaders face relevant #AI skill gaps. Meanwhile, from young professionals to senior leaders, one question is constant: How do we ensure AI empowers us (rather than replaces us)?
Overcoming this challenge requires bold shifts from all of us. Here are some lessons Iāve learned at @Moeve:
1ļøā£ Reskilling for the AI Era: Technical + Human Skills
AI literacy must become the new business literacy. At Moeve, our AI for All internal training is helping employees from every area learn to apply AI responsibly in their daily work.
But technical skills alone arenāt enough, we also need to develop soft skills. In 2017, in my book āDigital talent developmentā (ESIC Editorial), I higlighted some skills that today are specially critical, as curiosity, agility, and entrepreneurial mindset.
2ļøā£ Building Communities: Learn Together across Generations
Transformation doesnāt happen in isolation. We created the Moeve AI community, where cross-functional teams share real use cases and lessons learned. Itās a safe space for peer mentoring and co-learning, a model any company can replicate to make it a competitive advantage.
This generational collaboration in the AI era is also crucial for younger generations navigating the transition from university to the workplace. Bringing generations together through purposeful crossāmentoring could be a powerful way for everyone to share their strengths.
3ļøā£ Redefining Leadership: Enablement in the AI Age
Leaders should focus on enabling people across different levels of AI maturity. This means fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and aligning AI with purposeānot just performance.
Boards and executives who cultivate this mindset will be the ones scaling AI with trust and long-term impact. At my former company, Oracle, Mike Sicilia, who was the head of the Oracle Industries unit, was named co-CEO in September to drive customersā success with AI-powered applications.
š How can we get ready to stay relevant in this fast-evolving AI era? What skill, community, or leadership change do you believe will make the biggest difference in this human-AI journey?š
